I'm currently typing this while on my bed, with faithful Eeyore next to me.

Today, I thought of places which I would like to visit before I die. They include:

1. Santorini, Greece -(I've seen so many beautiful pics of this place and just must go there! I like how it looks so out of this world.)

2. Bali - now who can resist Asia's own exotic holiday destination. It's got people with my skin colour (yay home at last), and people that braid your hair for you at the beach!

3. Bangkok - this one I must go with my bestfriends! I've heard of how shopping is uber cheap there. Hopefully mommy will let me go sometime soon.

4. India - Yeah, strangely it's not China. I wonder why. But I heard that the food in India causes stomachache, and one must take a jab before going there. For this I'm having second thoughts, but hey, it's India. I love Indian food! Esp Northern Indian ones!

5. To be continued...(I will add on to this list as I progress in life!) and I'm opened to suggestions! hee hee.Sharmanehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14200379783350229582noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6080882133829536537.post-85916485375108011962011-02-16T09:02:00.000-08:002011-02-16T09:14:09.039-08:00Taken already lah! back off!You should never tell someone that you like him/her when he/she already has a significant other. Whether expressly or impliedly. If you do, you:
1. put that person in an uncomfortable situation
2. put yourself out as a person who does not have much respect for the other person (i can think of a few names that would explain this sort of character but i shan't mention them)
3. put yourself out to be a person that do not value your worth very much.

Being the third party is never cool. being a destroyer of people's relationship is never cool, in the process you end up spoiling the friendship between you and that person.

So really, the next time you're out with someone who's already taken, NOTE THAT: he/she is TAKEN.Sharmanehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14200379783350229582noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6080882133829536537.post-32018657766305664842011-02-12T08:48:00.000-08:002011-02-12T08:52:29.748-08:00stupidity.sometimes some people are just unbelievable.

unbelievable.

and it's really stupid sometimes how ppl reac stuff/ hear stuff from 'friends' pertaining to something and then actually follow that like it was a rule. oh u know, those situations: "Oh i'm not gonna do that because my friend told me that if i do that ..."

i think more than anything you should use your brains and the wisdom that God gave you to discern whether what you read/ heard is true.Sharmanehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14200379783350229582noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6080882133829536537.post-67177271734409546472011-02-10T08:49:00.000-08:002011-02-10T09:13:21.811-08:00yeah, happy valentines day.If PAS really wants to be part of the team that is to take over our government, I think they should do better than this. The PAS youth chief recently claimed that the Fatwa forbids Muslims from celebrating Valentines Day because it contains elements of sin and Christianity (You can read about that here: http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2011/2/9/nation/8024821&sec=nation). He also said that they have "identified favourite spots in every state where lovebirds mingle."

So you're relating Christianity to sin? Wow.

Of course a day later, the man says he has been misquoted.

And now we have Jakim saying that they'll be launching an Anti-Valentines Day campaign.

Well, with this much buzz going on about the upcoming Valentines Day and how Muslims shouldn't participate in it, it'll be no surprise that many Malay couples will be staying home to have home-cooked candlelight dinners. And that IS romantic, don't you think? Added bonus? They get to save money instead of spending on overpriced meals outside.

Aww (:Sharmanehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14200379783350229582noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6080882133829536537.post-2233323680557467732011-01-26T08:39:00.000-08:002011-01-26T08:59:23.244-08:00discoveries.Probably no one reads my blog anymore because I keep closing it down. but it's fine! (:

Well, I've made a few discoveries in the past..month.

1. Sleeping is awesome.
I honestly used to feel guilty sleeping. I have this mentality that if I sleep too much, I might just get a headache! Which sometimes might be true. But, if you weigh the pros and cons of sleeping, the pros far outweigh the cons. A few days ago, I was plagued with a strange condition. I think it was caused by the food I had the day before. Anyhow, the next morning I woke up with a terrible pain in my stomach and I had to go to the toilet a few times, and even vomited. As though that wasnt enough, Mr Fever paid a visit as well. That night, my friend who studies at IMU told me that sleep boosts the immune system. Okay, fine, maybe I should have known that. But somehow it felt more like truth coming from a medical student! So I slept. and slept. And i got so much better the next day! It's amazing what wonders sleep can do for you!

2. Don't look at the speck in your brother's eye when you have a plank in your own eye
I've come to realise, the more try to point the wrong things out in people, there are four fingers pointing back at me. Yes, it backfires. It's such a humbling process when I shut up and take the backseat for once. I learn so much from that rather than when I'm being a control freak and wanting to always take the steering wheel.

So yes, here's to an amazing year with more discoveries! (:Sharmanehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14200379783350229582noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6080882133829536537.post-24680252230736240842011-01-22T09:15:00.000-08:002011-01-22T09:30:27.860-08:00unfinished.Everyone loves a happy ending. We like to hear of how a lost child is finally reunited with his mom, of a druggie going to rehab and turning over a new leaf, of fighting parents having their love rekindled once again.

That's because deep down inside of us, we think that if that could happen for that once-plagued soul, then maybe, just maybe, the same might happen for us.

So I sit here and wait, for my story to unfold. Because no one likes a sad ending, thus if I were to write my story now, it would be termed 'unfinished'. Well, maybe there is some truth to that, maybe a 'sad ending' is loathed simply because it is an untrue term. Because everyone has got their a whole life time for their story to unfold. We choose each day what we want to fill the blank pages of our lives with.Sharmanehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14200379783350229582noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6080882133829536537.post-81954108449704728242011-01-19T06:26:00.000-08:002011-01-19T06:36:14.402-08:00jumbled mumblings.Have i told you how i dislike people who cant seem to stick to the plan? Or people who think the world revolves around a particular person?

I hate disappointments. Some say it is a state of mind - you choose to be happy or sad. But you know what? Some sad feelings are justified.

Your grandma dies. Is it not okay to cry? But there they go saying "Dont cry, it's okay." A load of crap, that's what that is. It's okay to cry. It's okay to be upset.

Okay i think i've got all my thoughts jumbled up. whatever.Sharmanehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14200379783350229582noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6080882133829536537.post-19237744033917067162010-11-27T11:29:00.000-08:002010-11-27T11:41:11.702-08:00iLife"And when you look at the sky you know you are looking at stars which are hundreds and thousands of light years away from you. And some of the stars don't even exist anymore because their light has taken so long to get to us that they are already dead, or they have exploded and collapsed into red dwarfs. And that makes you seem very small, and if you have difficult things in your life it is nice to think that they are what is called 'negligible' which means that they are so small you don't have to take them into account when you are calculating something."

-Christopher Boone, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

Life is what you make it out to be. It got us so close to being like one of the other countries that we've so often heard of that had its people being angry and divided over the issue of religion (or race).

It is perfectly understandable that people want to stand up for their religion. But to disrespect other people's religion in this manner, that is a bit uncalled for, dont you think?

It's my wish for to never see Malaysia stooping so low again. For my country to never revisit the May 13, 1969 racial riot incident again. To have its leaders stop blaming each other over who said what of who's religion or race, when they should be addressing real issues such as helping the marginalised people (the gap between the rich and poor in Malaysia is not exactly small, if you know what I mean).Sharmanehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14200379783350229582noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6080882133829536537.post-33074662570804795262010-11-02T00:33:00.000-07:002011-01-22T09:34:14.492-08:00An observationA friend of mine recently exclaimed, "Imagine a world without emotions! It would be really sad because we wouldn't be able to feel happiness!"

Well, a world without emotions would mean we would not know what is sadness OR happiness. Thus, we would have nothing to compare our sorrows or joy with, because, isn't it all relative?

Emotion brings us on a roller coster ride with it. As exhilarating as the feeling may be when we are on top, as thrilling as it may feel when we go down, there are still some twists and turns in the ride that make us sick and want to puke our guts out. We forget that emotion is only one part of the soul. We forget that our soul also consists of the mind and will. Often we let our emotions overpower our mind and our mind to overpower our will. This imbalance in turn cripples us. Sigh why are we such sadists?Sharmanehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14200379783350229582noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6080882133829536537.post-14317180934516507442010-10-25T02:49:00.000-07:002010-10-25T02:56:31.325-07:00she's blogging again?!YAY!
